Senior engineers, embedded in your team.
One senior specialist or several. Each joins your standups, your sprint, your tools, and your development process. You direct the work day to day, the same way you would with an internal engineer.
Embedded engineers, on your terms
Embedded engineers add senior capability without changing how your team works. Our engineers fit into your process rather than asking you to adopt theirs.
- Joins your standups, your sprint, your tools, and your development process
- You direct the work day to day, as you would with an internal engineer
- Senior only, with no junior swap-ins
- The engineers you meet are the ones who ship
- No payroll, equipment, or administrative overhead on your side
- Scale up or down with standard notice
Senior engineers across the stack
Every engineer has shipped production software. Add one specialist or a small group across roles.
Full-stack & backend
Engineers who own features and services end to end, from API design and data models through to production interfaces.
AI/ML & LLM
Engineers who take AI capabilities beyond prototypes and into production systems people rely on.
Data engineering
Pipelines, streaming, and warehouses built for production workloads, not just reporting.
Cloud & DevOps
Infrastructure and platform engineering that keeps production systems reliable, secure, and scalable.
QA engineering
Senior QA engineers who build testing into your delivery process, so releases ship working.

Ask about a role →When embedded engineers are the right fit
Embedded engineers work best when you already have the technical leadership and the process, and need more senior hands to execute.
- Filling skill gaps your current team does not cover
- Increasing engineering capacity against an existing roadmap
- Adding specialized expertise in AI, data, or cloud for a specific stretch of work
- Short- or medium-term needs where a permanent hire is not the right answer
How it starts
- 01
Scope the need
A short call on the skills, seniority, and timeline you need, and how the work is run today.
- 02
Meet the engineers
You meet the people who would actually do the work, with the project history behind them.
- 03
Start building
They join your sprint, with your priorities driving the work.
From extra capacity to owned delivery
An embedded engineer or two is often where a working relationship starts. As the scope grows, some teams choose to hand a defined product or project to a dedicated engineering pod that owns delivery against milestones.
When the problem is complex or not yet fully defined, a Forward Deployed Engineering engagement adds a senior technical lead who works directly with your team, backed by a full engineering pod. The option is there when you need it, not before.
Embedded engineers: common questions
What are embedded engineers?
Embedded engineers are experienced engineers added to your existing team, a senior form of staff augmentation. Each engineer joins your standups, your sprint, your tools, and your development process, and you direct the work day to day, the same way you would with an internal engineer.
Will the engineers we meet be the ones who do the work?
Yes. You meet the people who would actually do the work before they start. We do not swap in junior engineers after the introduction.
Can we scale the team up or down?
Yes. You can add engineers or reduce the team with standard notice as your roadmap changes, without payroll, equipment, or administrative overhead on your side.
What if we need more than extra capacity?
If the scope grows into a defined product or project, a dedicated engineering pod can take ownership of delivery. If you need technical leadership on a complex problem, a Forward Deployed Engineering engagement puts a senior FDE and a full pod on it.
Tell us the gap. We’ll introduce the engineers to fill it.
A short conversation is enough to understand the problem, the systems involved, and the team required to move it forward.
